Does this system soften water?

No. The WGB32B-KDS whole house water filter prevents scale buildup and protects pipes and appliances from corrosion. It does not remove calcium or magnesium, so water hardness remains unchanged. For softening, see iSpring WCS45KG (B08XW4NXDP).

What contaminants can this system remove?

Can I install this system outdoors?

Install indoors in a well-ventilated area, shielded from wind and rain, away from direct sunlight and heat. Consider water leakage protection. For outdoor installation, ensure insulation for frost, sun, and waterproofing for both unit and pipes.

Can I use this system if my water flow is from left to right?

Yes, you can. However, please note that the inlet/outlet marking on the system is fixed, so you will need to flip the machine head to accommodate this setup. To do this, simply unscrew the screws on the machine head and flip it.

Please note – This whole house water filter is installed at the main water supply line in order to treat all the water in your home. Unlike an RO system, this whole house water filtration system will NOT reduce Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and instead keeps healthy minerals in your water; if you are interested in a filter that removes TDS consider our iSpring Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems. The polyphosphate filter does not remove calcium and magnesium from water – it only prevents those molecules from forming scale.
